Big or Small?
After last night I didn’t realize how common it was in our own society of how often women are getting ‘boob jobs’. I always thought this was an occurrance for the elite, but it seems it is as easy to get like a Birthday Present. I kid around with a certain co-worker and tell her if I ever won the lottery, I would buy her a set of boobs. Poor girl, I don’t even think a ‘push-up’ would help. I just thought this as an expensive thing to get done. When the girls in class last night mentioned the friends they new who where getting ‘jobs’ done you wouldn’t believe my surprise. I couldn’t help thinking you’re so young! Wait till you have children at least, they grow, not alot, but a bit that makes a difference.
It does seem that women are becoming more and more ‘booborexic’ We’re not satisfied with what we got! We want the melons!! But I don’t think we want them like this:

or like this

Media makes it harder to be a woman, how can us real women compare to something like this?

The bottom line is we all like to look good but at what measures will we take to look good? Some of us will do the healthy thing and committ to diet and exercise, but for others more extreme measures will be taken, like extreme diets, boob jobs, libo, and blah, blah, blah. What about just being and accepting yourself as a beautiful woman, or is that just taboo?

Like you, I was also shocked to hear people say that a number of their friends had gotten boob jobs. For some reason that is just so surprising to me. It seems like people are getting boob jobs at younger and younger ages, and that boob jobs have become more and more common. Just the thought of getting a boob job scares me, not to mention the fact that I probably couldn’t afford a boob job even if I wanted one! Anways, great post!
We all love to show off our best assets, whether it be our legs, butt, hair, eyes etc… when we know it looks good we show it off, I think it’s just human nature. But, when we go under the knife to ‘create’ our best asset most tend to keep it hush, hush. It’s like they’re embarrassed by the fact that they don’t want people to know that their much larger and perkier breasts aren’t really theirs, it’s as if they figure that since they don’t talk about it no one will know they went under the knife. Plastic surgery is something that I’ve never really understood or agreed with. Sure it may be necessary if you have major health problems that you’re attempting to fix, but to go under the knife for mere cosmetic reasons doesn’t make sense to me, and I just don’t think it’s worth the risk.
What about all that stuff we were supposed to be taught? You know beauty is only skin deep… It’s what is on the inside that counts… Seems to me the media has been teaching us something differently and it is being told much louder. We are all so concerned with the way we look and now makeup and hairspray aren’t enough, we have to physically alter our bodies to be the “perfect” girl. I could never imagine waking up with a different pair of boobs and I don’t think I should have to. Neither should young girls, too young to even know themselves and who they are.
It is all so disturbing.
I think in this day and age it is so hard to accept ourselves as women. We are bumbarded every day with what we should look like, and if we aren’t bumbarded by these things then we are bumbarded by diets, trying to tell us how fat we are. It disgusts me. Even the skinny girls now a days are finding flaws and thinking diet is a way of correcting them. Maybe, thats just who we are, and no diet can correct this! But its easier to say that do and I am aware of that. It’s just sad it has to be that way.
